9/11 Heroes and America honored in patriotic anthem--SAVING FREEDOM, PRECIOUS FREEDOM

"SAVING FREEDOM, PRECIOUS FREEDOM" words and music by Nina Leon (ASCAP)

A patriotic anthem inspired by 9/11. "Saving Freedom, Precious Freedom" was premiered aboard the USS Intrepid shortly after 9/11 at the 2001 Salute to Freedom dinner honoring then New York Mayor Rudolph Guiliani, Governor George Pataki, and the Poilce, Fire, Emergency personnel heroes, Nationa Guard and others.

It was also performed at the Soldiers', Sailors', Marines', Coast Guard and Airmens' club in NYC for the 10th Mountain Division upon their return from Iraq; at the Merchant Marine Academy, on radio and showcased with a live performance by Nina Leon at HBO's New York HQ for a Benefit for Vietnam Veterans of America. It is also part of the soundtrack of the HBO edited DVD "Thank You For Serving" distributed to troops overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan and hospitals.
